Vermonters will now be able to learn advanced CPR techniques through a kiosk constructed by Richmond Rescue Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Luke Jackson. The kiosk includes a manikin, monitor and LOOP CPR controller so users can take a hands-on approach to learning CPR, according to a report by EMS1
"LOOP CPR is a "Guitar Hero"-type game which really gets the learner involved," Jackson said in an interview with EMS1. The kiosk weights about 100 pounds and is designed to be as portable as possible.
"I wanted to create something that got people excited about learning CPR, something that was totally different than the current process," Jackson said. Richmond Rescue plans to loan out the kiosk for free to other venues and agencies.
