VendPro goes cashless via USAT partnership

August 31, 2016

VendPro Refreshment Services, a vending and micro market company, has teamed up with USA Technologies Inc. to upgrade its machines with cashless technology. USAT will connect 1,800 of VendPro's vending, coffee and micro market machines to its ePort Interactive platform, according to a press release.

VendPro will have access to USAT's cloud-based media and content delivery management system so the company can push out multimedia marketing campaigns, give remote refunds, provide nutritional information and engage with customers. VendPro can also use the platform to track the use of cash, credit, debit and mobile payments, according to the release.

VendPro has also joined USAT's Go Cashless program, an educational marketing program to help marketers deploy cashless technologies quickly and effectively and drive customer adoption.

"Even though we’ve had success with cash-only payments for a long time, it’s hard to ignore the retail industry’s momentum toward cashless and mobile payments, particularly when our customers are asking for it," Ken Jenkins, refreshment services, VendPro, said in the release. "We are thrilled to be working with USA Technologies to not only implement contactless payment options on our machines, but to also have the ability to provide consumers with nutritional information, coupons and access to additional engagement opportunities."
