USA Technologies, manufacturer of cashless payment systems for self-service vending machines, recently filed counterclaims accusing dissident shareholders of violating proxy voting rules and making false and misleading statements in their proxy solicitations, according to Vending Times.
The dissident shareholders were trying to get three candidates elected to the company's board of directors and trying to keep USAT from rescheduling last year's annual meeting to June of this year, according to the Vending Times story.
USAT offers cashless payment solutions, like its ePort systems, for the vending, kiosk and self-service point-of-sale sectors.
