USA Technologies Inc., a provider of wireless, cashless payment and M2M/IoT solutions for small-ticket, self-serve retailing industries, announced a nationwide rollout of new acceptance points for Apple Pay.

The extension of Apple Pay adds approximately 200,000 acceptance points to the growing list of locations officially supporting Apple Pay, including owners and operators of coffee brewers, vending machines, kiosks, laundry equipment, parking pay stations and other self-service appliances.

When customers use Apple Pay, credit and debit card numbers are not stored in the device or on Apple servers. An individual Device Account Number is instead assigned, encrypted and stored on the user's device. Transactions are authorized via a one-time security code instead of the code typically entered from the back of the user's card, USA Technologies said in a statement.
