University of Wyoming introduces parking kiosks and mobile app

The University of Wyoming transit and parking services has introduced lot pay kiosks and a mobile app that allow people to pay by license plate number instead of parking space number, according to an announcement on the university's website.

The app, called Parkmobile, features expiry reminders by phone and the option to add additional time from a cellphone.

"We are excited about the increased capabilities of these new parking kiosks and their ability to interact with smartphones," said Paul Kunkel, UW transit and parking services manager, according to the announcement. "Overall, these kiosks should provide a very efficient means of parking for day lot customers."

To start using Parkmobile, users can download the app by searching "Parkmobile" and then create an account.
