ePaynews: Unattended payment terminals such as kiosks and vending machines are to be installed in certain U.S. cities to enable stored-value systems provider Parcxmart to gain a share of the cash market. Card-based low-dollar payments for parking at on- and off-street meters were the initial focus for the company, which is now looking to unattended payment terminals to deliver extra value. Wider adoption of the system means that cardholders will be able to pay for parking, buy a coffee at a local café, purchase a newspaper from a kiosk or obtain a drink at a vending machine at their will.
