Debenhams shoppers have full Internet range while shopping, thanks to touchscreen kiosks currently being tested in some locations.
Using the Debenhams Extra internet-enabled kiosks that are expected to be installed in stores across the UK over the coming months, customers can view all Debenhams' products from every store, according to Internet Retailing.
The kiosks also allow customers to order items in colors or sizes that the brick-and-mortar locations may be out of and big-ticket items not carried in the store. Shoppers can even obtain product info by scanning its barcode on the machines
"The in-store kiosks are really fantastic, offering a mobile experience in store while bringing customer service into the digital age," said Lorraine Howard, director of NN4M, the company that manufactured the kiosks. "We believe our team has recognized and responded to growing customer expectations by designing and building the range of in-store kiosks which enables customers to enjoy a seamless multiplatform experience."
