U-Vend scores home run with MLB ice cream deal

August 12, 2016

Kiosk manufacturer U-Vend Inc. has signed a multiyear licensing agreement with Major League Baseball to provide its ice cream kiosks. The kiosks will sell MLB Premium Ice Cream products, according to a press release.

Later this year, customers will be able to purchase the MLB ice cream — as well as a bat from select retail locations — at kiosks throughout the country. With this agreement, U-Vend will be able to expand its business to 30 new market territories, according to the release.

"This MLB partnership reflects a continued awareness of the importance of further engaging consumers at every level,"  U-Vend CEO Raymond Meyers said in the release. "At over $7 billion in annual sales, the ice cream industry is a staple in the U.S. and Canadian food industries. Combining that with the national pastime and next-generation digital rollout is a great way to expand our business."

U-Vend currently owns more than 130 kiosks in Southern California and Las Vegas.
