Tru-Vu Monitors Inc., a provider of industrial monitors and touchscreens, has introduced outdoor panel-mount touchscreens, according to a company email sent to Kiosk Marketplace.

The SRMHETRWP-15C is a 15-inch sunlight readable touchscreen featuring 1,500 nits brightness. An automated ambient light sensor dims and brightens the screen based upon ambient light conditions.

The corrosion-resistant, waterproof stainless steel enclosure withstands rain, sleet and snow.

The touchscreens can be used in kiosks installed at drive-up truck height which allows the drivers to stay in their trucks to check in, weigh in, get lane verification and weigh out through an automated kiosk ticketing system. The technology eliminates manual transaction errors, is user-friendly and is safer, allowing drivers to get results with less labor.
