TravelCenters of America is expanding its use of self-service kiosks at Popeyes restaurants as part of an effort to improve efficiency and customer experience for travelers. The company has already installed the kiosks at 45 Popeyes locations, with plans to expand the program to 66 restaurants by the end of 2025, according to a press release.

The rollout includes 13 pole-mounted and 32 countertop units. Early data from the initial countertop deployments shows an adoption rate of over 70%, with customers placing larger orders on average. According to TA, this has increased sales and allowed staff to be reassigned to other tasks.

The kiosks, developed with technology partner Tillster, are designed to be user-friendly and support multiple languages. They integrate with existing systems, including the company's My TA Rewards loyalty program and order-ahead options, to streamline the process for frequent customers. TA says the initiative underscores its commitment to innovation and customer convenience.
