PLANTATION, Fla. - Transnet Wireless announced in a news release that it has expanded its Wi-Fi Hot Spot in Dana Point Harbor, Calif. to cover three square miles.
"This coverage area expansion is indicative of the trend in Wi-Fi service," said Brad Cartwright, president of Transnet Wireless. "People are demanding this service in more areas, such as marinas and other once-unheard-of spots. Transnet Wireless and its distributors are developing innovative ways to offer the most comprehensive wireless Internet coverage."
The coverage area for the Transnet Wireless Hot Spot kiosk, owned by distributor Anne Vallone of OC Hot Spotz, was expanded to most of the Dana Point Harbor by 5G Wireless using a rooftop Base Station with a 120-degree antenna. Dana Point Harbor, located halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego on the Orange County Coast, houses two marinas within a one-and-a-half-mile jetty with 2,500 boat slips, 25 shops, 20 restaurants, two yacht clubs, a hotel and a public park.
