St. Joseph's Health Centre's Ambulatory Care Centre in Toronto has launched a patient check-in kiosk pilot project to increase speed and efficiency, Inside Torontoreported.
The kiosk utilizes a patient's health card, which allows access to the country's insured health care services. Patients insert their card and complete the registration by filling out basic information. The kiosk then provides all necessary forms and directions on a map, the article said.
"We encourage patients to try it and provide feedback," Greg Zaffarano, operations coordinator, said in the article. "It's designed to be intuitive and user-friendly. We want to make it as easy as possible for patients."
