The Kiosk Exchange ends contract with AAFES

May 7, 2006

BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Strategic Management & Opportunity Corp. announced in a news release that the Kiosk Exchange, a wholly owned subsidiary of SMOC and its SMO Multimedia division, has terminated its contract from the Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES). The contract called for the deployment of 118 digital photo units in 115 Army and Air Force installations in the United States, including Hawaii, Alaska and Guam.

"Due to multiple situations specific to this contract and the funding anticipated to deploy the units not materializing, SMO Multimedia made the decision to close the contract with AAFES," said Robert Pratt, chief executive officer of Strategic Mgmt. & Opportunity Corp. "While this contract looked attractive and we did our best to deploy as many units as possible, the issues associated with funding, vendors and other unavoidable circumstances has made it very hard for us to keep and finish this deployment."
