South African retailer The Foschini Group generated about $33.1 million in revenue from its Bashstore endless aisle platform during fiscal 2026, a 306% increase as the company expands the connection between its physical stores and digital operations, according to a Brand Spur report.
Bashstore gives customers and employees access to TFG's broader online inventory across more than 3,000 stores and 14 brands, allowing shoppers to purchase products that may not be available at a particular location.
TFG said 97% of Bashstore sales represented purchases that otherwise would have been lost because products, sizes or colors were unavailable in the store. About 76% of orders were completed through click-and-collect, bringing customers back to physical stores to pick up their purchases. More than 23,000 TFG store employees also have mobile access to Bashstore, allowing them to help shoppers find and order merchandise beyond the inventory available on store shelves.
The retailer is extending the platform directly to customers by rolling out Bashstore kiosks at 100 stores. The kiosks allow shoppers to browse the larger digital catalog, scan product barcodes and place orders without relying on an employee. The strategy effectively turns TFG's physical locations into access points for its broader digital inventory, combining self-service, employee-assisted shopping and online ordering within the same retail network.
