NCR has partnered with E. Sun Bank to deploy the first bill-payment kiosk in Taiwan. It is called the E. Sun iPayment Kiosk and is designed to provide bill payment, currency note exchange and statement printing, according to the press release.

The kiosk is a customized solution built with the NCR SelfServ 4 kiosk and other parts. It is designed with a 19-inch multitouch screen and allows customers to pay credit card bills with debit or cash. Users can also print out credit card statements and check their balance and reward points.

In addition, NCR has also integrated its APTRA Connections system with the kiosk. This allows banks to deliver personalized greetings to its users, such as birthday messages. Customers can create their own customized menus to get their favorite transaction options all in one place. E. Sun Bank can also deliver location based advertisements at the kiosks.

"In today's competitive banking environment, a bank's winning strategy includes transforming the customer experience and improving operations to create brand differentiation," said Keith Au, general manager of financial services, NCR Hong Kong and Taiwan. "E.Sun Bank has been a pioneer in delighting customers with innovative services. NCR is excited in partnering with E.Sun Bank for the first time in entering this industry-leading project to transform the self-service banking landscape in Taiwan to a new level."
