Syracuse rolls out wayfinding and information kiosks

The Syracuse Convention & Visitor Bureau, located in Syracuse, New York, has recently rolled out 11 information kiosks to help tourists find their way around the city and receive promotions.

The Syracuse Convention & Visitor Bureau, located in Syracuse, New York, has recently rolled out 11 information kiosks to help tourists find their way around the city, according to a report by Syracuse.com.

The kiosks provide a variety of information to tourists, including event calendars, restaurant listings and promotional materials. Companies such as hotels or restaurants could upload menus or room layouts to the kiosk for tourist usage.

The Visitor Bureau plans in the future to develop a system to deliver deals and coupons to user's mobile phones. In addition, tourists will be able to purchase tickets from the kiosks in the future.

Currently, businesses can purchase Syracuse's kiosk for onsite usage at a cost of $7,000.
