UCLA Health and Impact Melanoma, a nonprofit organization, will install 50 sunscreen kiosks made by BrightGuard on beaches in Santa Monica and Malibu and at other locations around Los Angeles County, California, according to the Santa Monica Patch. The kiosks, which will be free to users, will remain in place until Oct. 31.
Speaking at a kiosk unveiling event at the Santa Monica Pier, Dr. Jennifer Hsiao, a UCLA Health dermatologist, said parents need to be vigilant about taking care of their own skin health as well as that of their children.
