Star Micronics tech helps tablet POS accept cash payments

The U.K.-based tablet kiosk company imageHolders announced that its solutions are now able to accept cash payments through integration of technology from Star Micronics.

The Star Micronics DK-AirCash accessory works via an Ethernet or Bluetooth connection in a wireless operation that allows a cash drawer or register to be opened and closed without the use of a manual key. This gives customers the ability to pay with either cash or card, the announcement said.
