WALTHAM, Mass. - Staples Inc., the $11 billion office supply superstore company, has signed on with ON Technology Corp. (Nasdaq: ONTC) for new software to manage its kiosks, PCs, point-of-sale (POS) systems and corporate desktops, according to a Staples news release.
Customers shopping at Staples for office supplies use the kiosks to browse the retail chain's Staples.com Web site.
Staples will use On Technology's ON Command and Centennial Discovery software to keep its kiosks and other gadgets online.
Scott Floeck, Staples' senior vice president of information systems application development, said the software is replacing previously installed solutions.
