Springfield, Ohio, is planning to help out visitors with new informational kiosks. The kiosks, deployed by the Greater Springfield Convention and Visitor's Bureau, are designed to provide information on restaurants and attractions, according to a reportby Springfield News-Sun.
The kiosks also have panels near the bottom for advertising businesses, events and tourist attractions.
The bureau deployed the first kiosk in the Heritage Center to serve guests staying at the nearby Courtyard by Marriott. The bureau plans to deploy additional kiosks throughout the city.
"The kiosk is part of a branding and wayfinding initiative being undertaken by the CVB to let visitors and residents alike know what we have to offer in terms of shopping, dining, attractions and recreational opportunities," said Chris Schutte, director of marketing for the CVB and the Chamber of Greater Springfield.
