Sparkasse Düren and Wincor Nixdorf have agreed to a 5-year renewal of their existing service agreement. Sparkasse also has outsourced additional services to Wincor, and the companies have concluded a master agreement for the replacement of approximately around 140 Sparkasse self-service systems.
The master agreement covers the replacement of ATMs, cash-recycling systems and self-service terminals that are not Windows 7-compatible.
Together with its service company, Prosystems IT, Wincor Nixdorf provides Sparkasse branches with a service desk to provide employees of the FI with on-site support for the self-service systems and appropriate software.
Additionally, Wincor administers self-service applications — including software updates — and helps to identify skimming attacks and clarify transaction discrepancies.
Wincor Nixdorf has run the savings bank's network of 160 self-service systems since 2009, the company said.
"Outsourcing the IT services was an important step for us," said Bernd Hecker, director of organization and market service at Sparkasse. "By concluding this agreement, we aim to deliver greater service to our customers and offer high availability of our self-service systems at all times."
