South Korea airport kiosks upgrade fingerprint scanning

Smart Core, a South Korea-based provider of image processing and immigration solutions to the civil and public sectors, recently upgraded its biometric airport kiosks serving the Incheon International Airport in Seoul, South Korea, to offer fingerprint scanning technology from Integrated Biometrics, according to findbiometrics.com.

The Columbo fingerprint sensor from Integrated Biometrics can more effectively scan travelers for comparison with databases of known terrorists and criminals. The scanners include FBI certification for FAP 30 compliance, the report said.
