South Africa library installs versatile informational kiosk

March 21, 2017

A new kiosk at the library in Port Shepstone, South Africa provides access to all government tenders, government jobs and educational/study information such as past exam papers for all grades and university information, according to The South Coast Herald.

More information will soon be loaded onto the system, including municipal news and business and tourism information. Users can either print the information, save it on their USBs or email it to themselves.

One doesn't need to be a member of the library to use the kiosk and the service is free of charge except for printing.

"The use of these interactive kiosks by educational institutions is on the rise and for good reason, too, as they provide unparalleled access to information as well as a means for the pupils to obtain past examination papers," Susan Roos, senior librarian, said in the report.
