February 24, 2002

ORLANDO, Fla. - As part of their strategies to enhance product share in the digital photo finishing sector, Sony Electronics Inc. and Olympus America Inc.flashed new kiosks before attendees at the Photo Marketing Association's annual show, currently running at the Orlando County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

Olympus introduced its new CAMEDIA TruePrint digital printing kiosks at the show. TruePrint allows customers to make prints off a variety of digital imaging sources, including photo CDs, floppy disks, and memory sticks. The system offers photos in sizes ranging from wallet size to eight-inch by ten-inch.

The line is available in four different models, two apiece for floor-standing and countertop applications. Olympus officials said the kiosk's slim design would reduce footprints, making the system easier to integrate into retail areas.
