SMO-Skytalk merger gains ground

February 20, 2002

EVERSON, Wash. - A proposed name change has brought SMO Multi-Media Corp. (Pink Sheets:SKLK) one step closer to completing a planned merger with Canadian magazine publisher Skytalk Communications Inc.

Skytalk on Dec. 6 announced that it has applied for shareholder approval to change the company's name to SMO Multi-Media Corp. The company expects the name change to be approved in coming weeks, completing the merger with SMO, which plans to deploy a series of information and security kiosks in shopping malls and airports.

"This just brings us one step closer to finalizing the merger with Skytalk Communications and we are very encouraged with the progress we have made," Robert Pratt, SMO chief executive officer, said in a news release.

The merger was originally announced on July 26. Once it is completed, SMO plans to seek approval to be listed as an over-the-counter bulletin board (OTC-BB) stock.
