Small town library deploys wayfinding kiosk to direct visitors

July 12, 2012

According to The Wilton (Conn.) Bulletin, the Wilton Library has deployed a new touchscreen information kiosk, which has been attracting visitors' attention since it arrived.

The wayfinding kiosk installed at the end of May is designed to provide easy access to maps of the library, a directory of staff offices and a list of daily and upcoming events, the paper said.

"If you go into a library, it can sometimes be overwhelming," library executive director Elaine Tai-Lauria told the paper. "What's beneficial about the kiosk is that no one will have to wait in line to get directions or wander around looking."
