Los Angeles Times: In an effort to solve the problem of ill-fitting shoes, FormaLogix is testing innovative foot-measurement kiosks in select Foot Locker stores. The kiosks combine digital cameras and computers to precisely measure a person's foot, then use a computer to show how various shoes would fit it. The kiosks save the measurement data so it can be accessed from any kiosk or online so that people buying from the Internet can tell how a shoe will fit without trying it on. (Registration required)
