NEW YORK -- Ready to launch sales, Sirius Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI) will install interactive listening kiosks at an additional 150 Best Buy stores nationwide by July 1. The company already installed kiosks in 350 Best Buy locations during a sales training program, according to a Sirius news release.
Sirius has trained more than 1,500 Best Buy employees to sell its satellite radio service and system hardware, according to the release. Sirius broadcasts 100 commercial-free digital radio channels to drivers across the United States. A monthly subscription costs $12.95.
Potential customers can sample the 60 music channels and 40 sports, news and entertainment channels through the kiosks, according to the release.
