Signifi Solutions acquires QuickPIX line

March 16, 2005

ORLANDO, Fla.--Under an agreement signed earlier this year, Signifi Solutions, a new technology solutions company, has acquired the QuickPIX product line from inventor TouchPoint Solutions.

Shamira Jaffer, former vice president of TouchPoint Solutions, has been named president of Signifi.

Signifi Solutions said it will focus on the development and distribution of the QuickPIX product line while TouchPoint will concentrate exclusively on furthering its successful Catapult management platform. Through partnership with TouchPoint, Catapult will remain a core component of Signifi's QuickPIX software, providing remote kiosk monitoring reporting and management automation.

"Consumers are demanding photo-finishing services, and our solutions make it easy for retailers to capture a share of this growing market," said Jaffer. "Our plug-and-profit system lets them deploy quickly, manage orders and kiosks easily, and see immediate return on investment."

Signifi was formed to meet the rapid growth in the digital imaging marketplace. In addition to their integrated kiosk and on-line solution, Signifi assists retailers with full technical and marketing support by wrapping everything in one easy-to-manage package. Its unique self-service model allows customers to access and purchase products themselves when, where and how they choose. Additional store traffic can be generated by routing orders from kiosk and Web to a retailer's location.

"We've always been a strong evangelist for the Catapult platform," said Jaffer, "My new role at Signifi gives me the opportunity to capture an exciting vertical undergoing unprecedented growth while maintaining Catapult as our integrated platform within QuickPIX."

"TouchPoint is proud to have created Catapult and QuickPIX, two excellent products that meet the immediate needs of the growing retail photofinishing market," said Anila Jobanputra, president of TouchPoint solutions. "With the emergence of Signifi, we are confident that both of these products will be able to achieve their full market potential."

A recent InfoTrends/CAP Ventures report revealed that the number of digital camera owners who purchased retail photo-finishing services rose nearly 300 percent during 2004 from 14 to 37 percent.

"Signifi enables retailers to quickly and cost-effectively respond to the demand for digital photo-finishing through their own turn-key system that connects QuickPIX kiosks, mini-labs and Web sites for a seamless fulfillment network," added Jaffer. "Signifi stands out because we believe it takes more than just kiosks to deliver complete self-service. It's necessary to take a holistic approach to provide all the pieces that are required for a successful photo business."

Signifi made its first appearance at the Photo Marketing Associations (PMA) International Convention & Trade Show in Orlando, Fla., Feb. 20-23.
