Sheffield Hallam University launches Xerox photo kiosks

March 30, 2010

Printweek.com reports that Sheffield Hallam University is using Xerox DocuColor 5000 digital print technology to launch a personalized photo product service for its students and staff.

The university has installed a Xerox Photo Kiosk in its printroom, allowing the university's 30,000 staff and students to use a raft of applications that are then printed on the DocuColor.

"The Xerox Photo Kiosk application will add a new revenue stream to our business by allowing us to harness the latest print applications without making a large investment in new printers," said Paul Bishop, print services manager at Sheffield Hallam University. "With Xerox's Photo Kiosk and DocuColor machine, we now have the right tools in place to help grow digital print profit."

The Xerox Photo Kiosk was launched in 2008 and is pitched at customers who want to create photographic products with a quick turnaround time.
