The city council of Parma, Ohio, has approved the installation of a self-service lottery kiosk at the Ridgewood Municipal Golf Course, reports Cleveland.com.
Lottery officials will install the self-service machine and train golf course staff to assist customers, Cleveland.com reported. Clubhouse visitors will soon be able to buy lottery tickets and play games on the machines.
According to Cleveland.com, Parma city council was told that the kiosk would generate revenue and help make the golf course self-sufficient. The city will receive a 5.5-percent commission on gross sales from the machine and a 1-percent cashing bonus on any tickets cashed in at the machine. Also, proceeds from the lottery will benefit schools, according to Cleveland.com.
