Self-serve wine finds favor in France
September 14, 2010
An entrepreneur has installed wine-vending machines in eight French supermarkets where consumers can fill up their own jugs, according to thedrvino blog.
Astrid Terzian says she is tapping into two themes to promote the devices — environmental awareness and the economy. The purchaser brings and fills her own container, so the wine can be shipped more efficiently, and the cost is about $2 a liter.
