ScriptCenter kiosk 'fist pumping' in Jersey Shore

Asteres Inc., a provider of automated prescription pickup kiosks for retail, hospital and Veterans Affairs/military pharmacies, has deployed its ScriptCenter kiosk at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey.

"We are so excited to add 24/7 prescription pickup to our suite of team member services," Robert Schenk, the hospital's manager of ambulatory pharmacy services, said in a press release. "Now our third-shift team members will have the same access to the hospital's in-house pharmacy, and all team members can quickly drop off and pick up prescriptions at their convenience. ScriptCenter allows us to better service our team members and grow our pharmacy without having to increase our labor costs."

How it works:

• Employees enroll for ScriptCenter (one-time) to create ID and PIN.
• Employees order prescriptions as usual.
• Pharmacy fills prescriptions as usual and loads into ScriptCenter.
• Employees pick up and pay for prescriptions at ScriptCenter.
