Royal and Merge join to distribute Royal Patient Kiosk

Royal Solutions Group LLC, provider of interoperability and certified EHR-as-a-service solutions to the health care industry, has joined provider of enterprise imaging, interoperability and clinical systems Merge Healthcare to offer the Royal Kiosk platform to Merge customers, according to an announcement.

Royal's Patient Portal and Patient Kiosk will become part of the Merge Radiology Information System and Merge OrthoEMS product offering to Merge customers. Royal Kiosks allow patients to schedule exams, pre-register, receive appointment reminders and enable information sharing between patients and providers via the Direct Protocol, the company said.

Merge RIS integration provides Meaningful Use Stage One and Two reporting, allowing a digital conversion of office forms.
