Visitors to the Central Library in Rochester, New York, will now be able to access Social Security benefits from a self-service kiosk, according to a reportby WXXI News.
Visitors can use the Social Security Express kiosk to change direct deposit information, look at benefits and print forms and letters. This is the first Social Security Express kiosk in New York.
"A lot of these papers are important for our clients to have, especially our needy clients who might not have access at home," Library Director Patty Uttaro said in an interview with WXXI News. "Library staff help people every day with navigating online services, and adding an interactive service such as the Social Security Administration kiosk will only enhance the library's ability to connect customers to the critical services they need."
