NEWTON, Mass. - Retail Systems Alert Group, organizers of the annual Retail Systems Conference & Exposition, announced that Bob Willett, executive vice president of operations for Best Buy Co., will present a keynote address at this year's VICS/Retail Systems Super Conference, to be held May 24-26, 2005, in Chicago. Willett will share his insights on how Best Buy is creating a decentralized, customer-centric business.
Conference highlights include the Wave & Win program which demonstrates how RFID, self-service kiosks, wireless technology, and loyalty cards can be integrated to create an exciting customer experience, according to a news release.
Because supermarkets face certain unique technology and business challenges, Retail Systems 2005 is also launching a Supermarket Futures Workshop and conference track.
Retail Systems 2005 Conference and Exposition is the only event of the year that brings together all segments of the retail, CPG, and apparel industries to discuss internal and external IT and business process issues.
