Retail association promotes two to vice president

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Retail Federation announced that Scott Krugman and J. Craig Shearman have been promoted.

Krugman, formerly NRF's senior director of industry public relations, was promoted to vice president of public relations. Shearman, previously senior director for government affairs public relations, was promoted to vice president for government affairs public relations.

Krugman joined NRF in 1996 and is responsible for public relations strategies for NRF departments and divisions. Shearman joined NRF in 2001 and is responsible for the development and implementation of public relations strategy for the government relations department.

The National Retail Federation is the world's largest retail trade association with membership that comprises all retail formats and channels of distribution including department, specialty, discount, catalog, Internet, independent stores as well as the industry's key trading partners of retail goods and services.
