Redbox Canada has expanded its locations footprint by bringing on two major Canadian retailers as part of its rollout plan, according to an article on ctvnews.ca.
Both Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaw Companies have agreed to allocate space to the kiosks in some of their stores, the article reported. The U.S.-based company began rolling out in Canada at the start of the summer, and kiosks are currently located at select Canadian Walmarts, Safeways and convenience stores operated by Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., according to the article.
A Redbox spokesperson would not give specifics on the rollout, but the company does plan to have as many as 2,500 kiosks in Canada by the end of next year, the article reported.
