Radiant to show off at NACS
October 7, 2003
CHICAGO -- During the NACS Show 2003 here Oct. 12-14, Radiant Systems Inc. will demonstrate its latest point-of-sale (POS), self-service kiosk, back-office and pricebook technology for petroleum and convenience-store operators. The company will also unveil its new advanced POS terminal, built to deliver high performance with state-of-the-art open technology, in a retail-hardened design.
Radiant's technology aims to improve the speed and efficiency of operations, supports multi-concept sites, and enables convenient kiosk-ordering for freshly prepared foods, according to a news release.
"As the market continues to get more competitive and customers become more selective, retailers have an increased need to rapidly act and react, as well as find ways to clearly differentiate their business," said Radiant Vice President Scott Kingsfield.
Show Highlights in Radiant's Booth #4037, according to the release:
- Retailer Presentations: Heritage's Dairy Stores of New Jersey and Sprint Food Stores of Georgia will present in the Radiant booth how advanced site-management systems have improved their operations. Heritage's will present at 2 p.m., and Sprint will present at 3 p.m, on Monday, Oct. 13.
- Radiant POS: Radiant's graphical, touchscreen POS system helps retail and food service operators serve customers faster, train cashiers quickly, and improve order accuracy. In addition to demonstrating Radiant POS software on Radiant hardware, the company will demonstrate its software on third-party hardware.
- Self-Service Kiosks: Radiant's indoor and outdoor kiosk systems for food ordering help retailers increase store traffic and customer throughput, highlight promotions, and consistently offer high-margin upsells. At the show, visitors to the booth will be able to order fresh donuts via a Radiant kiosk.
- Radiant Food Service solution: Radiant's comprehensive foodservice solution, the technology used by leading food service brands, has the flexibility to support multiple food and retail concepts at the POS and in the back-office. A cashier can process transactions for all concepts at a single POS terminal, and food-ordering kiosks seamlessly integrate with the system.
Radiant will participate in a live demonstration of the NACS Open Site Architecture at 9:30 a.m., Oct. 13, at McCormick Place South, S403.
