Radiant to highlight workforce management at Retail Systems

June 4, 2003

CHICAGO -- Atlanta-based Radiant Systems Inc. will demonstrate Radiant 6e solutions for retailers at the Retail Systems 2003 Conference and Exposition June 10-12.

In its booth, and in joint presentations with Microsoft, Intel, Labor Solutions International, and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Radiant will highlight how its solutions for managing site operations help retailers enhance the customer experience and maximize profitability. Radiant will showcase Radiant 6e Workforce Management and Radiant 6e Dashboard, solutions that have won retail application developer (RAD) awards from Microsoft this year. On June 10, Radiant will be recognized, along with other companies, during a ceremony for RAD Award recipients hosted by Microsoft at the Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum in Chicago, according to a news release.

"To improve profitability, retailers must overcome the basic challenge of balancing the need to improve customer service with the need to reduce labor costs," said Peter Reilly, vice president and general manager of retail at Radiant. "With Radiant 6e Workforce Management, store managers can efficiently automate and optimize scheduling, while incorporating employee preferences, to achieve this balance."

In addition to providing workforce management solutions to retailers such as Galyan's Trading Company, Meijer, Menards, and Sears, Roebuck and Co., Radiant offers systems for managing the in-store operations of retail businesses, including solutions for inventory management and learning management.
