Qu launches AI-powered platform for restaurants

Qu, a unified commerce platform provider, has introduced Qu Business Edge (Qube), an intelligent edge platform for the restaurant industry, according to a press release. The company claims the system is designed to improve speed, boost check sizes and reduce costs for quick-service restaurants.

The platform uses a combination of edge computing and embedded AI to provide continuous reliability and offline performance, even during internet outages. According to the press release, a burger chain using the technology doubled its drive-thru volume while reducing its IT workload by 30%.

"With Qu Business Edge, we're not just solving today's reliability challenges — we're laying the foundation for an AI-enabled future where technology itself becomes a critical part of a restaurant's competitive edge," Amir Hudda, CEO at Qu, said in the release.

Qube features AI capabilities that can monitor equipment, optimize production and suggest high-impact upsells to customers.
