Price Chopper grocery chain deploys health assessment kiosks

The Schenectady, N.Y.-based Price Chopper grocery chain, which operates 132 stores across New England, has partnered with the community-based health plan CDPHP for the rollout of interactive health stations at six Price Chopper pharmacies in Upstate New York.

The health stations provide free blood pressure, weight, heart rate, blood oxygen, and temperature readings. In addition, patients can create a personal health assessment that can be printed at the kiosk.

"These health stations will provide our members unique access to benefits and services at a time and place that's convenient for them," said Dr. John Bennett, president and CEO, CDPHP. "As we enter a new era in health care, we are thrilled to partner with Price Chopper Supermarkets, an organization that shares our commitment to community wellness."
