Posiflex USA announced the company will unveil the MT4008 mobile eight-inch tablet system for its touch screen terminal portfolio at the NRF Big Show 2015.
The MT4008 is a fanless display built with an aluminum chassis utilizing Windows 8.1 on an Intel processor. Its 1024 x 768 screen resolution supports most Windows-based applications. The addition of a pistol grip and docking station can transform the MT4008 into a compact POS system or kiosk.
As a hybrid station, the solution features a charging station and pistol grip with a built-in removable battery. Retail clerks can use an integrated 1D or 2D built-in barcode scanner with the pistol grip for inventory, taking tickets and managing queues.
Both retail and hospitality staff can scan coupons via two cameras that are integrated into the tablet. It also includes encryption-capable magnetic stripe reader, wireless capability, and a three-inch thermal printer in the charging station for printing receipts on the run or when used as a fixed position POS.
The MT4008 includes USB, LAN and cash drawer ports.
