Police arrest man for smashing LinkNYC kiosks

April 25, 2019

New York City police have arrested a man for smashing New York City's LinkNYC kiosks, according to ABC News.

The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Juan Rodriguez, was captured on surveillance video hurling objects at 42 LinkNYC kiosks over the last week.

One video camera near Times Square on April 16 recorded a bearded man in a long-sleeved blue T-shirt tossing a brick at the camera.

New York City has more than 1,800 of the 9-foot tall kiosks featuring free Wi-Fi service and phone-charging ports, including around 1,100 in Manhattan.
