San Marcos, Texas-Pixel Magic Imaging is receiving a substantial investments from Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. and Altech ADS Co., Ltd, according to a company news release.
"DNP and Altech are making this investment to ensure that Pixel Magic remains agile and further extends their capabilities to meet the rapidly growing needs of customers and consumers around the world." said Shigeru Kashiwabara, General Manager of Information Media Supplies Operations, DNP. "This will help DNP to further strengthen our position as the world's leading supplier of dye sublimation printing media.
In addition to serving its U.S. customers, Pixel Magic exports its entire line of imaging solutions into Europe and anticipates, with this new relationship, its reach will soon extend into Asia and beyond.
Pixel Magic Imaging's line of photo kiosks include several new including camera phone printing, Print2Store capability, which allows consumers to order prints online and have them printed at their local retail store, and Pixel Perfect Pictures a combination of improved software, printing and media technologies that together drastically and automatically improve image quality.
"Pixel Magic will continue to do what we do best," stated chief executive officer George Briggs. "We'll continue to provide true open-architecture privately branded kiosk solutions - except that now we have the full strategic and financial resources of a two multi-national companies with combined annual revenues of nearly $13 billion."
