The Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau is helping promote tourism in central Pennsylvania through information kiosks at a hotel and hospital.

March 29, 2016

The Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau is helping promote tourism in central Pennsylvania through information kiosks. The bureau deployed the kiosk at the Geisinger Medical Center and the Geisinger's Pine Barn Inn, according to areport by WNEP 16.

The bureau designed the kiosks to give information on restaurants, shopping and other activities in the area. The kiosks replaced the Danville branch of the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau since that location only saw three visitors per day, and the kiosk can serve more people, according to the report.

"We've seen about 1,500 people in addition to what we normally see in the Danville area," said Shane Kiefer, director of marketing for the Columbia Montour Visitors Bureau.
