Partnership to provide in-store digital photo printing software

September 27, 2004

LONDON - Pixology, a specialist in software and networks for digital photography, has announced the signing of an agreement with Tesco, the UK's leading supermarket. The agreement means that Pixology's software will be used to power digital photo kiosks in 165 Tesco stores.

Using Pixology's KioskPrint software installed in digital photo consumer terminals, Tesco customers will be able to insert their digital camera memory cards, preview their images on screen and then process their orders at a mini-lab in the same store.

Pixology's KioskPrint will enable Tesco to develop unique in-store digital printing services customized to Tesco's store environment and commercial strategies.

Since entering the digital imaging market in 1995, Pixology has developed technology that enables consumers to print, organize and share their digital pictures. These pictures can be printed at home, via the Internet or through in-store kiosks.

The company has also developed and sold Pixology's Intelligent Red-eye Imaging Software Solution, which is believed to be one of the world's first commercially available automatic software solutions for the detection and correction of red eye in digital photographs and was the winner of the Technology Systems category of the British Computer Society 2003 Awards.
