Outdoor kiosk complements Va. visitors center services

MEDFIELD, Mass. — Virginia's Arlington Convention and Visitors Service will pilot an outdoor kiosk solution for wayfinding and merchant discount coupons. Supplied by Comark Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of ruggedized indoor and outdoor kiosks solutions, the outdoor kiosk will also complement other services provided at the centralized visitors center.
According to a news release, the all-weather kiosk will also provide easy access to a wide array of dining, shopping, hotel and event information. Other features include an interactive touchscreen and printed walking directions to participating retailers.
"Market research showed that bringing information to visitors in the neighborhoods where they're staying — in this case, our Rosslyn neighborhood with 25 percent of Arlington's hotel rooms — would help drive additional visitor spending at nearby restaurants, stores and service providers," said ACVS Director Emily Cassell.
