Oregon State wellness kiosk offers health products around the clock

Oregon State University has installed a wellness vending kiosk in the basement of its Memorial Union on the Corvallis campus, according to an OSU Today report, giving students and other campus visitors 24-hour access to basic health products. Stocked items include pain relievers, allergy medication, COVID-19 tests, condoms, pregnancy tests and emergency contraceptives.

The kiosk also offers at-home tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea. Students can place their sealed samples in a secure return box beside the machine. Student Health Services staff collect the samples, conduct testing and contact students about next steps. In-person testing remains available at the campus clinic.

The kiosk opened in spring 2026 after students identified cost, convenience and difficulty navigating services as barriers to care, according to Oregon State. Funded through an Oregon Health Authority initiative, it is part of a broader effort to expand reproductive health services. Student Health Services plans to use anonymous purchasing data and student feedback to adjust the product selection.
