Office Depot to sell broadband service via kiosks

September 22, 2002

DELRAY, Fla. -- Office Depot will install Web kiosks in its 820 stores across the United States to market broadband service.

The chain's customers will use the kiosks to sign up for Internet access from Earthlink or Comcast, according to a company news release. The kiosks use DigiTerra Broadband's BroadbandCompass service, which has been used in Circuit City stores since late 2000.

Delray, Fla.-based Office Depot, founded in 1986, is the world's largest seller of office products, according to the company's Web site.
